Credit Europe Bank N.V.
Credit Europe Bank N.V. (formerly Finansbank Holland N.V. ) was established in 1994 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The Bank's sole shareholder is Credit Europe Group N.V. (CEG), which is 99.17% owned by Fiba Holding A.Ş., in Turkey.
The Bank was founded as a specialized trade finance bank to actively participate in the wholesale financing of international trade with the European Union countries. In 1997, the Bank launched it's retail banking segment to assist both its retail and corporate customers with the investment opportunities in the Netherlands and in international markets.
The Bank, headquarters located in Amsterdam, has subsidiaries in Russia, Swiss, Dubai,Ukraine and Romania in addition to its branches in Frankfurt, Antwerp, Malta and representative offices in Istanbul and Shanghai.
In August 2006, Fiba Group completed the sale of 46% of Finansbank Turkey's ordinary shares and 100% of founders' shares to National Bank of Greece. As part of the transaction, Finansbank Turkey transferred its shares in its international subsidiaries to Fiba Holding. The Group's international subsidiaries changed their legal names to "Credit Europe".
Furthermore, the Bank's application to open a subsidiary bank in Ukraine was approved by National Bank of Ukraine in December 2006 and the Bank started its operations in early 2007. The Bank also open a subsidiary bank in Dubai in 2008.
Credit Europe Bank N.V. has the leading role amongst the Group's international banking subsidiaries to implement the corporate standards which have been garnered over the last 15 years in the Netherlands.
Together with its subsidiaries and branches, Credit Europe Bank N.V. will further increase its efficiency through the synergy, exchange of know-how and experience gained in different local markets and business lines throughout the years.
